    The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of companies with small market capitalizations. It invests in value equity securities, an investment strategy that emphasizes buying equity securities that appear to be undervalued.

    The Russell 2000 Index is designed to measure the performance of the small capitalization companies in the United States equities market. The index is a composite of roughly 2,000 securities issued by companies with market capitalization values averaging $2 billion. The Russell 2000 Value Index is a subset of the securities found in the Russell 2000. As of this writing, there were approximately 1,350 securities in the Russell 2000 Value Index. The stocks included in the value index are selected based on a “probability” of value as measured by their relative book-to-price (B/P) ratio.

    The Morningstar Medalist Rating™ is the summary expression of Morningstar’s forward-looking analysis of investment strategies as offered via specific vehicles using a rating scale of Gold, Silver, Bronze, Neutral, and Negative.
