Investment approach

The investment seeks to provide a high level of total return (consisting of reinvestment of income and capital appreciation), consistent with a moderate degree of principal risk. The fund operate as funds of funds and invest principally in funds and exchange-traded funds ("ETFs") of Principal Funds, Inc. and Principal Exchange-Traded Funds ("underlying funds"). It generally categorizes each underlying fund as a fixed-income, equity, or specialty fund based on its investment profile.

The Morningstar Medalist Rating™ is the summary expression of Morningstar’s forward-looking analysis of investment strategies as offered via specific vehicles using a rating scale of Gold, Silver, Bronze, Neutral, and Negative.
