Matt Hackman is a Director - Portfolio Management for the Principal Asset Management real estate team. He is responsible for serving as a Portfolio Manager in private equity with a specialization in data centers, in addition to experience in the traditional property types. Matt joined the firm in 2007. Prior to his current role, Matt served as an investment analyst at a wholly owned subsidiary specializing in the production of bridge and mezzanine loans as well as in the acquisitions and dispositions team covering markets in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast U.S. He received bachelor's degrees in real estate and finance from the University of Northern Iowa.
