Dan Dickman is a Managing Director - Portfolio Management for the Principal Asset Management real estate team. He is responsible for the development and management of U.S. commercial mortgage investment programs for a variety of institutional clients, including foreign and domestic banks and insurance companies. Dan also oversees Principal’s investments in low-income housing tax credits and advises the company’s staff in Chile regarding their real estate investments there. Daniel joined the firm in 1993. Prior to his current role, Dan originated and underwrote loans in seven Midwestern markets, focusing primarily on the Chicago and Milwaukee metropolitan areas. He received an MBA from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Northern Iowa.
