Darren Kleis is a Managing Director, Portfolio Management for the Principal Asset Management real estate team. He is responsible for portfolio strategy, investment activity, performance, client and consultant communication, and asset management oversight for the Principal U.S. Property Aggregate, the firm’s core, open-end strategy. Darren joined the firm in 1992. Prior to his current role, Darren served as an investment director of asset management and before that worked as an investment accountant. He received an MBA from Drake University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northwestern College.
